The Preobrazhensky Cathedral (1830-35)
It was constructed by architect O. Zakharov. This monument is considered to have a very high architectural significance and value as it is a building that reflects traditions and techniques of the Russian classical school in its full swing. The foundation stone was laid in 1830, May 22. After the earthquake in 1888 some cracks were found in the walls of the cathedral, but it stood its ground whatsoever. It was badly damaged during the Second World War: the upper part of the bell tower burnt out. The cathedral was restored in 1975.

Potemkin Palace
The palace of prince Potemkin is one of the best architectural masterpieces of the city. It is situated in Shevchenko Park – one of the most favorite places of the citizens. The palace was constructed by the outstanding Russian architect Starov, and at first it belonged to prince Potemkin, who was the governor of the region at that time. In the times of Paul the first the palace was desolated and half destroyed. Later, in the 19th century it was decided that the palace should be reconstructed. There was no roof, the majority of the columns were ruined and there was practically nothing left from the inside decoration. After the revolution the palace was changed into the youth palace. The fascist occupants destroyed it completely soon after. In 1952 the palace was reconstructed. The total area of the building is 5632 square meters. There is a concert hall there, a lecture room, a dancing hall, a cinema and a cafe.

The Monastyrsky Island
In the centers of urbanized territories, there are some places on the Earth visible to everybody and at the same time they are some kinds of unexplored islands of uncertainty and mystery. The Monastyrsky Island in Dnepropetrovsk is one of such blank spots. Attending Anastasia’s Tours you‘ll know the truth. This island survived plenty of different nations and cultures such as Scythians, Goths, Huns, Slavs, Avars, Vikings, etc. The most ancient granites (Archaeans) are on the surface. You can see such a phenomena only in Russia (Murmanskaya region) and here in Dnepropetrovsk. If you will be on the tours with Anastasia web you will see some rare plants-endemics. There is a hypothesis that people who survived after Atlantida’s destruction were dispersing along the World. It is said that they had some energy sources – special balloons about meter in diameter, which were kept in dug-out places deep in the earth and which were kept there as holy magnets, meant to emphasize and foretell future events. One of such balloons was most likely kept in the mountain area of the "Monastyrsky" Island.

Diorama Museum
Diorama Museum was built for the 30th anniversary of the World War II (1975). The museum portrays the pictorial battle scene on the 840 square meters canvas, placed in a special building after the project of architect Zuev. The remnants of defensive installations, weapons, crossing facilities, special lighting and sound accompaniment make the effect of real presence on the battle field. If you are interested in this topic and would like to know about the feats of arms of the soviet people from the inside, you are welcome to Diorama Museum.

Dnepropetrovsky Art Museum
This museum is one of the oldest museums in the Ukraine. It was first open in 1914, on the 100th anniversary of the birth of Taras Shevtchenko, the national Ukrainian poet. Since that time the museum has accumulated a rich collection of Russian and Ukrainian art, and the collection of icons is nearly 250 items. The treasure of the museum is its graphics collection and it makes up 2\3 of the whole museum exhibition.

Ballet Theatre and Opera House
The theatre started its first season in 1974. It can be regarded as the birth of Dnepropetrovsk ballet. The young troupe showed its own version of the brilliant Chaikovsky ballet “The Swan Lake”. In the 90-th the theatre turned to the works of Ukrainian opera classic and modern music. Since then a wide international audience from Japan, the USA, France, etc. got accustomed to the creative handwriting of the theatre.

It is an ideal place for those who want to have fun and to spend their time playing this captivating game. There is also a Finnish sauna in case you decide to relax.

Mas y Mas
"Mas y mas" is a piece of Spain in the center of Dnepropetrovsk. If you demand much of a restaurant Anastasia web recommends you Mas y Mas. The Spanish-style interior of dark wood species is softened by the light of lanterns. The main principle of the restaurant is good cuisine at reasonable prices. Mainly Spanish dishes are on the menu. You will be pleasantly surprised by the choice of seafood: tiger shrimps, mussels, rock lobsters. Spanish wines will be excellent addition to meat dishes. The restaurant is located near the musical fountain. A perfect date location, isn’t it?
